Dr Simon McKenzie's research focusses on international criminal law and international humanitarian law, including the legal challenges connected with the defence and security applications of science and technology. His broader research and teaching interests include the law of armed conflict, international criminal law, and domestic criminal law. Dr McKenzie is a co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Humanitarian Legal Studies, a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of International Law Council, and an honorary fellow at the University of Queensland School of Law. He is also a co-host of the Law and the Future of War podcast.
